PEACE COMES TO PECKHAM

by

R.F.DELDERFIELD

DIRECTED by  SHEILA WILSON

Production Dates 27 to 30 April 2005

This production has been chosen to coincide with the 60th Anniversary of the end of World War II and Shoreham Historical Society's The Village at War project.

The action takes place in Peckham, south east London, where there was a lot of bombing, but the village knows all about that, because it was called 'bomb alley' for a very good reason.

Our play is about a family who sent their children away to the USA to protect them from the war and how they coped with their return. Amusingly written by prolific novelist, playwright and screen writer, R.F.Delderfield, the play warm heartedly describes how the family dealt with post war conditions.
